you an idea how most of the Arequipenian coast line
should look like.
This
Video was filmed in 1997, when the warm Niña
Pacific ocean
current came
right down to the Arequipenian coast line. This is
how the coast line
looked like many many years ago, although you will
note the are no
trees around, this is due to the lack of continued
flow of water, due
to the lack of trees which were gradually destroyed
!!!! The
first 4 four minutes of the Video is not
too good, but the rest is OK, good colour and in
focus. Hope this gives
you a good idea as to what we would like to do, by
erecting Fog Traps
in order to convert the fog into running water, both
for the small town
of Islay, Matarani as for irrigating newly planted
trees. |
